  Understanding the Inner Man and Spiritual Transformation Perfection of the Inner Man "Perfect, perfect," Jesus says, and we declare the same. The inner man, our spirit, is holy . Say it aloud: "Holy, holy!" The inner man is righteous —perfectly righteous, and we affirm, "Righteous, righteous!" The Bible says, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ." This refers to our spirit man, not the soul or body. Repeat after me: My spirit man is the righteousness of God. My spirit man is the wisdom of God. My spirit man is the life of God. My spirit man is holy , perfect , and complete . When you're born again, God takes the old man out and puts a new man in. This inner man is created to be just like Jesus , but the soul and body need time to catch up to this transformation.
